Funeral Cost Guidelines
How much does a funeral cost? It’s a question most families have to ask, and we understand this. Our staff of caring professionals will help you tailor services to fit your family’s needs and budget. There are many wonderful and perfectly acceptable ways to honor a loved one. It shouldn’t be about “elaborate.” It should be about meaningful.
“My primary interest is to be sure families’ emotional and spiritual needs are met,” said Charles Dannel. “They only do this one time for their loved one; they get this one chance. I am focused on their well-being, so that when the services conclude, families are assured that they did the right thing. I have learned over the years that it’s the best possible beginning to healing, so they can move forward. We are committed to presenting options within a wide range of prices so that families can decide what works for them.”
The professional staff at Dannel Funeral Home will talk with you about funeral cost including basic fees, such as funeral planning, securing necessary permits and copies of the death certificates, sheltering the remains, and coordinating arrangements. As part of our mission to serve every family in the way that is most important to them, we don’t offer “package” funerals, believing that you deserve to choose which additional services and options you feel are best. We will talk with you about all costs up front, so you are comfortable with your decisions.
Affordable Funerals
“Sometimes people are afraid that they can’t afford a funeral, or that they’ll be surprised by hidden charges,” Charles continued. “We reassure families that we will be completely honest and transparent throughout the funeral planning process. We will listen to you and then talk openly with you about affordable options.”
While it may be appealing to find “discounted” rates at some funeral homes, Charles Dannel and his family have maintained a legacy of service over the generations by helping people move through the most difficult and profound time in their lives with dignity and grace. “It’s why I’m in the funeral business – to carry on a strong family tradition and out of a deep sense of duty and honor to help families fulfill the wishes of their loved one. We don’t say we bring closure, because that’s a long process. But we can help create a positive path to comfort and healing.”
“I felt like I was working with a compassionate family instead of a business. Charles Dannel went above and beyond! He suggested bringing some of my mom’s paintings and the mosaic vase she wanted her ashes in, to the family night. We had a lot of nice comments about that. They took care of details (even offered to drive all the plants and flowers to our house.) They were fair and clear about costs. I felt reassured that they were taking care of everything and I could just focus on my family and what we were all there for.”
