Obituary For Aaron Scott Barnes
Aaron Scott Barnes, 38, of Sherman, passed away on September 28, 2021.
Aaron Barnes was born in Sherman, TX to Mark and Robbi Barnes on April 25, 1983. He lived a life of humor. Often referred to as the next Rich Little, he was a master of impersonations, specializing in the characters from Family Guy, King of the Hill, Roy D. Mercer, and let us not forget the kids from South Park. He was never one to back down from a good challenge, no good prank went left unanswered. In an attempt to curb his escapades his mother enrolled him in karate classes. Already a master at sarcasm, he soon became a master at karate, holding a black belt by the age of 12, a feat that took him but 2 years to accomplish. Until the aging process took over, he could still be seen doing the splits at parties. Aaron was a highly prolific dancer who lost complete control when the melodious sounds of Pour Some Sugar on Me blasted through the big yellow boombox. On a serious note, Aaron was a lover of reptiles, Celtic traditions, Jeopardy, building things from scratch, the quotes of famous philosophers, writing, music, and quiet contemplation. He was a gift that was too soon taken, but one that shall be cherished by all those who knew and loved him.
Aaron is preceded in death by his father, Mark, his grandfather, Delmar Barnes, grandfather, Jim Ed Reed, and a number of others who are now enjoying their first glance at the comedian.
Aaron is survived by his mother, Robbi, his grandmother, Frankie Barnes, sisters, Kacy, Leslie, and Melissa; brother, Ricky, nieces and nephew, Madilyn, Jackson, and Kellyn, Uncle Andy and Aunt Kathy Barnes, Aunt Jaymie Reed, cousins, Micheal, Stephen, and Stuart, and many other relatives.
A Celebration of Life will be held at his sister’s home on Friday, October 8, 2021, from 6pm-8pm. This event is for family and friends. For information, please contact his sister, Kacy Kupper at kkupper74@yahoo.com.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Alcohol and Drug Services (ADS) at adsyes.org.
“However abstract your faith may be, it does not matter what you believe, only that you believe and hope. Keep listening.” – Aaron Barnes
