Obituary For Aaron Shults
Aaron Lawrence Shults, Jr., 73, of Sherman, passed away Friday, July 11th, at Texas Health Presbyterian/WNJ in Sherman. A memorial service and Masonic Rites is scheduled for Monday, July 14th, at Dannel Funeral Chapel. Interment of cremains will be in Grove Hill Cemetery at a later date. Aaron was born December 1, 1940, in Dallas, TX, to Helen Beaver and Aaron Lawrence Shults, Sr. He married Earlette Taylor in 1959 in Dallas, TX. He was retired from the Dallas Police Department with over 20 years of service as a helicopter pilot. He served in the United States Navy from 1959-1965, and was a CWO in the US Army Reserves for over 20 years afterward. He was part owner in Telstar Transports, Addison Pilot Shop, and was an instructor at Southwest Airlines Pilot Training Center. Aaron worshiped in the Presbyterian church and was an active Mason for many years. Aaron is survived by his beloved wife Earlette, his children: Christina(Tom) Eyres of Boerne, TX, and Athena Lee Reyna(David) of Glenn Heights, TX; brothers: Wesley ‘O.C.’ Shults, Don Shults and Jerry Shults; sister Cheryl Moore; grandchildren: Christopher Eyres, Taylor Reyna, Wendy Reyna, Taylor Wells, Miranda Wells, Aaron L. Shults III, and Kimberly Malorzo; great grandchildren: Amber Malorzo, Avery Malorzo and Alicia Contreras. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother George Shults, and his son Russell Lawrence Shults. In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored by memorial donations to any organization or research fund working to cure diabetes.
