Ada C. Toland 90 years old passed away on May 9 2011 at Texoma Medical Center. Services will be held on Wednesday May 11 2011 at Fairview Cemetery Chapel in Denison Texas. Family visitation will be at 1:00 p.m., services at 2:00 p.m. with Father Sergio Leal of Muleshoe Texas officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Toland was born on May 24 1920 in Carnegie OK to parents Shirley and Nellie (Hatton) Miller. She was educated in Carnegie schools. She married Carl Toland on June 15 1938. Mrs. Toland worked in the Carnegie Hospital and was a homemaker. Her favorite work was with her church where she was Missionette leader. She loved working with young girls. The lifelong romance between Ada and Carl started when they were six years old. She and Carl were playing "hide and seek" when he told his friends that he was going to marry her. And they were married 63 years before he passed away. He was the love of her life. Together they walked through many challenges. Their favorite times of the day were morning coffee and an evening bowl of ice cream. They would retell their many stories of their life together. Surviving are her son James C. Toland and wife Carolyn of Sherman her daughter Shirley Hoff of Mesquite TX her sister Leah Goff of Florida and grandchildren: Penny Hohenberger Charles M. Hoff Diana Thompson Becky Davis Tracie Leal Barbie Wright Donna Tate and Pam King. She also has 33 great grandchildren.
