Obituaries

Alexander(a.k.a Xander) Samuel Grandy age 14, Amara Leah Grandy age 13 and Alvin (a.k.a Vinny) Gary Grandy age 10 passed away on scene in a vehicle accident on August 30, 2024 in Grayson County, TX.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 14th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (location below) with Bishop Jake Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Weiland Cemetery. Arrangements are made by Dannel Funeral Home.

Xander was born on October 9, 2009, to Hyrum and Sarah Grandy. He attended Rains High School ISD. He was a Freshman, who loved Cross Country and Track. He enjoyed reading and writing, wanting to grow up to be an author and physical therapist.

Amara was born on July 5, 2011, to Hyrum and Sarah Grandy. She attended Rains Junior High School ISD. She was in eighth grade. She loved Cross Country, volleyball, music, theater and art, looking to be a doctor or lawyer when she grew up.

Vinny was born May 4, 2014, to Hyrum and Sarah Grandy. He attended Rains Intermediate School ISD. He was in fifth grade. He loved doing parkour, jump roping, and superheroes. He wanted to be a superhero or a dentist when he grew up.

Xander, Amara, and Vinny were active in their church, all seeking to one day serve as missionaries.

These three angels are survived by their parents Hyrum Grandy and Sarah Grandy.

The Grandy family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to family, friends and the extended community family that have shown us love and support during this difficult time.
