Obituary For Alicia Stubblefield

Alicia Maria Stubblefield, a member of the community for over 45 years, was called home on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. She was born in Colon, Panama on December 13, 1941 and moved to Sherman in the 1970s. She worked for the City of Sherman for 30 years and Dillard's Department Store for 15 years. From an early age her courage and stubbornness was always apparent, and that will never leave us. Ever her last act was to let us all know she is still in charge. She will be missed dearly, but the legacy she leaves behind will endure forever. She was a serious, no nonsense type of person who's heart was bigger than life itself. You never had to guess how she felt about you, she would let you know. She only thought of others, and never asked for anything in return. She leaves behind her son, Gregory Stubblefield and wife Lorien Newman Stubblefield of Las Vegas, Nevada, her mother Botha Kennedy and a brother in Panama. She also leaves behind hundreds of friends. Please join the family in celebrating her life on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 10am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sherman. Father Jeremy Myers will celebrate the Mass. There will be a Rosary at 6:30pm on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Dannel Funeral Home and the family will greet friends from 7-8pm.
