Obituary For Allan Hust
Allan Brian Hust, 66, of Sherman, passed away Monday, August 18th, at Texas Health Presbyterian/WNJ. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 21st, at Dannel Funeral Chapel. Father Bill Dalton will officiate. Interment will follow in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Allan was born in Houston, TX on March 11, 1948, to Emil Rudolph Hust and Theo Lucille Ailor Hust. They moved to Sherman when he was only six years of age. He was educated in the Sherman ISD, and then at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant. He was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Sherman, TX. Allan was an extremely giving person. He invested countless thousands of hours into the community by teaching ESL and Spanish classes all across North Texas, holding positions in Dallas, Sherman, Trenton and McKinney. He loved watching and helping people learn, and often surrendered his own weekends/evenings for private tutoring sessions. He was also an avid reader and prolific author of poetry, and enjoyed participating in the Poetry Society of Sherman. Until the spring of this year, when his own health began to fail, Allan had been the tireless, in-home caregiver for his mother, Mrs. Theo Hust Lloyd. Allan is survived by his mother, Theo Lucille Hust Lloyd, and numerous extended family members. Also, left to cherish his memory is his partner and soul-mate for eighteen years, Terri Low. Allan had many dear friends – and many more student acquaintances – who will forever cherish the time they had together.
