Andrew James Perry, 16, of Sherman passed from this life to be with his heavenly father Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Wilson N. Jones Regional Medical Center in Sherman after a very brief illness. He was surrounded by his loving family. On July 27, 2000, Andrew was born the son of Glenda Marie Smith Perry and Michael Wayne Perry in Denison, Texas. He was one of 5 children in the Perry household and he was always known for his big smile and loving personality. He always looked forward to his home in heaven where he will see loved ones who have gone before. He was a member of Merriman Hills Baptist Church where his father is currently pastoring. Andrew was preceded in death by his grandfather Joe Smith and uncle Jonathan Smith. He is survived by his parents, of Sherman; brother William Charles Perry and wife Hellyng of Irving, TX; sisters, Virginia Perry, Victoria Perry and Angela Perry all of Sherman, TX; and grandparents, Charles Perry of Dallas, TX, Lynn Perry of Lubbock, TX, and Ann Smith of Sherman, TX. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2016 at Merriman Hills Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Michael Perry. Interment will follow at Akers Cemetery in Sherman, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family would request donations be given to Institute for Creation Research Discovery Center, 1806 Royal Lane, Dallas, TX 75229.
