A graveside service for Anita Joyce Patton, 97, will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, Texas. She passed away peacefully at Just Like Home in Whitesboro, on Sunday, September 29, 2024.

Anita was born in Gunter, Texas to Homer and Josie Cleo Taylor on August 19, 1927. She married Tom Patton on December 16, 1944 and they shared fifty four years of marriage until his passing in 1999. She worked many years for GTE as an operator. They had a son, Tommy Wayne Patton.

Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, and son, Tommy, as well as daughter in law, Glenna and grandson, Nathan. She is survived by grandchildren, Garrett and wife Janetta, Shea and wife Amanda; great grandchildren: Major, Madison, Shea, Jr., Zoe and Lola.
