Obituary For Antonia Paine
ANTONIA PAINE Your homeland was in Munich, Germany, full of treasured memories and the endurance of surviving a war and losing your home from the bombs, standing in a line all day for a loaf of bread, your coat made from any army blanket and favorite dress made from a parachute - all those triumphs made you the most amazing wife and mother, teaching us love at every level and a selfless remarkable inner strength you passed on to us knowing life would have moments of brokenness. Family was your life, your breath, your reason, your sacrifices. Asking nothing in return - only to continue your legacy - your love story. Thank you God for the precious gift of our Mom, and thank you mom for the gift of 'You'! We are all heart-wrenched, broken, for the loss of you, Mom, your smile, your comforting touch, your voice, your wisdom, you were and forever will be our Hero, our Rock, and the cement that carried our family through this journey of life. You met the love of your life, a Texas Navy/Army soldier of 3 wars. The two of you were a true love story for 64 years in this earthly life and now reunited eternally. Our last gift from you - just before your last breath - as we called to you 'Mom' and prayed you would hear our final cry, you were so heavily sedated appearing to be far from our reach. We saw you struggling to open your eyes so wide and looked at each of us. We had talked about beautiful sunsets and that when you passed you would be the brightest star in the heavens. That day was a cold and gray day. It snowed and sleeted when you took you last breath. The sun came out and all was fresh and purified from the snow. As the evening came, we were blessed with the most beautiful sunset and the brightest of stars and brilliant full moon. God gave that to us so we could move past our grief. Forever and eternal love - Your Family! Antonia M. Paine was born August 12, 1931 in Munich, Germany. She passed from this life on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.
