Obituary For April Bearden

April Lyn Bearden, 44, of Dallas, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 11, 2014, at Methodist Medical Center in Dallas. According to her wishes, her viable organs were donated for medical transplant opportunities. No public services are scheduled at this time. April was born April 9, 1970, in Dallas, to Ted and Johnnie Puckett Bearden. She was raised in Sherman and graduated from Sherman High School in 1988. Throughout her life, she was known for her perpetual smile. April enjoyed working with her friends at Goodwill Industries. While she was still in Sherman, she especially enjoyed her Tuesday ‘lunch dates’ with dear friend Jerry Booker. Music was a huge part of April’s life. Little else brought quite as much peace into her life, nor as noticeably brightened her smile. April was preceded in death by her grandparents Beatrice Puckett McDonald, Ben Puckett, and Deva and O.M. Bearden. Left to cherish the memory of April’s life are: parents Ted and Johnnie Bearden of Sherman; brother Erik Bearden of Sherman; aunt and uncle Melba and Stan Ballou of Denison, and aunt and uncle Wanda and Gerald Puckett of Woodinville, WA; niece Tedi Jade Bearden of Sherman; cousins: Robbie Parks(Mike) of Shreveport, LA, Whitney Hoosier(Shay) of Frisco, TX, Wendy King of Shreveport, LA, as well as Tonja Miller(Bill), Drew Miller, Trey Miller and Addison Miller, all of Prosper, TX. She also leaves special friend and care-giver Denise Granger and her family of Dallas, TX, who were loving enough to host a memorial service in their home on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. They loved April and will miss her dearly! “April, we are so happy that you are at peace with your Lord Jesus Christ!” (Mom & Dad) Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman.
