Arturo Hinojosa, 43, of Sherman, Texas, passed away on January 3rd, 2025, in an accident in the early morning in Mexico. Arturo was born in Brownsville, Texas, on August 2nd, 1981, Arturo graduated from Sherman high school in 2000 and went on to achieve his childhood dream. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 2000, where he proudly served. After several years of service, he transitioned to the United States Army, where he continued his dedicated career on active duty and in the Army Reserves, serving with honor until his passing. Throughout his career, he had the opportunity to serve in various missions in the United States and worldwide. He ventured to Egypt, Romania, and Djibouti in Africa Arturo enjoyed playing and watching soccer, especially when he got to cheer for the Chivas. He raised his girls to love and play soccer and coached their teams for several seasons. He loved making carne asada and tacos on free weekends and enjoyed time with the family. Arturo is survived by his wife Amalia P. Hinojosa, his children’s. Nicole, Annika, Rubi, Priscila, Elisabeth, Ashley, Aaron and Arturo, Maria Adriana Alva mother of his children’s two step children David and Ricardo Rueda two grandchildren, Adalyn and Karson, his parents Arturo and Petra Hinojosa, his sisters Veronica and Claudia Patricia, nieces and nephews: Ruben Armijo, Ahtziri Valencia, Perla Abigail Armijo, Miguel Gomez, Ithzel Gomez, and Eddie Alejandro Hinojosa. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Dannel Funeral Home. Another visitation will be held from 9:00am-12:00pm Sunday, January 13, 2025, at Dannel Funeral Home, followed by the funeral services by Juan Miguel Saldierna of (First Baptist Church of Denison). Burial will follow at 2pm at West Hill Cemetery, 1304 W Lamar St, Sherman, TX. Arrangements are by Dannel Funeral Home.

Arturo Hinojosa, de 43 años, de Sherman, Texas, falleció el 3 de enero de 2025 en un accidente en la madrugada en México, Arturo nació en Brownsville, Texas, el 2 de agosto de 1981, Arturo se graduó de la escuela secundaria en el año 2000 y logró su sueño de la infancia. Y se unió al Cuerpo de Marines de los Estados Unidos en el año 2000, donde sirvió con orgullo.Después de varios años de servicio, se trasladó al Army de los Estados Unidos, donde continuó su dedicada carrera en servicio activo y en la Reserva del Army, sirviendo con honor hasta su fallecimiento. A lo largo de su carrera, tuvo la oportunidad de participar en diversas misiones en los Estados Unidos y en todo el mundo. Viajó a Egipto, Rumania y Djibouti en África. A Arturo le gustaba jugar y ver fútbol, especialmente cuando jugaban las Chivas. Crió a sus hijas para que amaran y jugaran al fútbol y entrenó a sus equipos durante varias temporadas. Le encantaba hacer carne asada y tacos para disfrutar en familia. Arturo le sobrevive su esposa Amalia P. Hinojosa, sus hijos Nicole, Annika, Rubi, Priscila, Elisabeth, Ashley, Aaron y Arturo, Maria Adriana Alva madre de sus hijos, sus hijastros David y Ricardo Rueda, dos nietos, Adalyn y Karson, sus padres Arturo y Petra Hinojosa, sus hermanas Veronica y Claudia Patricia, sobrinos y sobrinas: Ruben Armijo, Ahtziri Valencia, Perla Abigail Armijo, Miguel Gomez, Ithzel Gomez, y Eddie Alejandro Hinojosa. La visita será de 6:00 a 8:00 p.m. el domingo 12 de enero de 2025 en Dannel Funeral Home. Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo de 9:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m. el lunes 13 de enero de 2025 en Dannel Funeral Home, con Juan Miguel Saldierna (de primera iglesia bautista) oficiando. El entierro será a las 2:00 p.m. en el West Hill Cemetery, 1304 W Lamar St, Sherman,TX. Los arreglos están a cargo de Dannel Funeral Home.
