Obituary For Barbara Beene

Barbara Beene, 60, of Sherman passed away on January 22 in Dallas, Texas. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Dannel Funeral Home, 302 S. Walnut St., Sherman, TX. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 29, at Dannel Funeral Home with Rev. Stan McNutt of Liberty Lighthouse Church officiating. Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Thomas Warren, Christopher Warren, Sean Warren, Jesse Favors, Joseph Michael, Devin Michael, Jim Beene, William Beene, Aaron Russell and Taylor Russell.

Barbara was born in Sherman to Ellery Otho and Ruby Dell Horton Beene on August 29, 1960. She worked in the service industry most of her life. For the past 10 years she dedicated her life to helping out at April’s Pet Grooming in Red Oak. She loved comforting the dogs and making conversation with the customers, who would say they “just loved how much she cared for their babies.”

Barbara was preceded in death by her brothers Billy David Beene and David Wayne Beene, as well as her mom Ruby Dell Beene and her dad Ellery Otho Beene.

Barbara is survived by her three daughters: Amanda Favors (and spouse Jesse), April Warren (and spouse Thomas), Amy Michael (and spouse Aaron). Also her two sisters Brenda Roberts and Janice Harris, and a half-sister Ellen Beene. She was proud of her eight grandchildren: Joseph Michael, Devin Michael, Christopher Warren, Sean Warren, Haley Warren, Jase Warren, Laney Warren, and Taylor Russell, and one great-grandson Holden Wayne Senko Warren.
