Mrs. Barbara J. Evans 79 went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday October 23 2013 at 6:00 in the evening. She died peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer. Barbara was born November 29 1933 in Sherman Texas the daughter of Helen & Barine McBride. Barbara was married to Frank R. Evans Sr. for 61 years. A loving and devoted wife and mother of four children 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Barbara was very positive of her belief as she trusted in God and expected that good things would come her way. She was a member of Grayson Bible Baptist Church for 52 years. Barbara always put everyone elseÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢s needs ahead of her own. She loved all children as her own. She will be missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her husband Frank R. Evans Sr., two daughters: Wanda Perkins and husband Russell of Pottsboro and Ellen Wolfington and husband Walter of Sherman, two sons: Frank R. Evans Jr. of El Paso and Bobby Evans of Sherman, 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one brother Bobby McBride and wife Carol of Luella. The family will receive friends at Dannel Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday evening October 28 2013. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday October 29 at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman. Weldon Hudson will officiate. Interment will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
