Obituary For Belinda Brinkley

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Hall Cemetery in Howe, Texas, for Belinda Brinkley, 65, of Sherman, who passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 at her home. Pastor Leland Samuelson will officiate. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, November 16, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman.

Belinda was born on October 9, 1956 in Sherman, Texas to John Robert and Patsy Jo Turley. She was raised in Sherman and attended Sherman schools graduating from Sherman High in 1974. She married the love of her life James Ray Brinkley on August 24, 1974 and they shared 47 wonderful years of marriage together. She worked for many organizations over the years including, Gibsons, Medical Plaza Hospital, and The Texas Cancer Center of Sherman. She loved taking care of people and was always involved in her children’s activities and was Mama #2 to many of her children’s friends. She enjoyed gardening and drinking coffee while listening to country music. She was selfless in truly caring for others like her aging parents and in-laws and just about anyone else she came across who were in need. Her grandkids were the light in her eyes and they could do nothing wrong. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who truly knew her.

Belinda was preceded in death by her parents and her in-laws, Jesse Kenneth Brinkley, Sr. and Mildred King Brinkley. She is survived by her husband, James Ray Brinkley of Sherman; son, John Kenneth Brinkley and wife Ashli of Ft. Worth; daughter, Amber Dawn Brinkley of Plano; 3 grandchildren: Kaija, Madison, and Drew; 3 brother in-laws: Ken Brinkley and wife Phyllis of Rockwall, Rick Brinkley and wife Liane of Rockwall, and Marc Brinkley and wife Janeen of Sherman; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
