Obituary For Ben Dale Miller

Ben Miller, 81, of Denison, Texas, passed away on Sunday, September 18th, 2022. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the Dannel Funeral Home Chapel. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro, Texas.

Ben was born in Grove, Louisiana, on February 8, 1941. He graduated from Haynesville High School in Louisiana, he attended and graduated from North Texas University where he double majored in Theology and Music. And then earned a Masters Degree in Psychology from Texas A&M Commerce. Ben held a career in mental health for many years and after retiring from that profession he began a second career managing the vault at the Isles of Capri Casino. Papaw, as he was called by his grandchildren, had a passion for history, music, and travel. He had a great love for the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge of history as well as his tastes in music. Ben’s infectious smile will forever be with us.

Ben is survived by Thomas Miller, Steve Miller, Anita Holt, April Loftin, Justin Miller, Emma Hensley, Jessica Miller, Hannah. As well as 7 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his siblings, JoAnne, Larry, and Robbie.
