Obituary For Bennie McCoy

Bennie Lee McCoy was born on September 1, 1938 in Paris, Texas to his parents Alfred Hale and Lorena McCoy. He passed to be with the Lord on September 14, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Dorothy Waldrop and Linda Hiberd, son Gregory Pruitt, brother in law's, Charles Schultz, and James Hiberd, son in law Jefferye Simmons, and granddaughter Ashlyn Belcher. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Charlotte Ann McCoy, son, Leslie Pruitt and wife Regina of Denison, Tx. Sister, Sadie Schultz, of Houston, Tx, Angie Ramos and husband Jose of Nogal, NM, Kristi McCoy Garland of Ivanhoe, Tx, Mandy Belcher of Granbury, Tx, Carlynne 'Toshi' Pruitt of Denison, Tx, Nikki Garland and husband Mark of Sherman, Tx. Grandchildren, Krystal Kemp and husband Chance of Denison, Tx, Jared Pruitt and wife Shelby of Jacksonville, Fl, Cassie Heathcock and Dale Johnson of Justin, Tx, Jason Pruitt and wife Kristin of Sherman, Tx, Kristin Avila and husband Abel of Carrizozo, NM, Clinton Pruitt of Denison, Tx, Patrick Ramos of Nogal, NM, Chelsea Pruitt and wife Chelsey of Denison, Tx, Courtney Belcher of Sherman, Tx, Mark Garland Jr and wife Harlie of Denison, Tx, Dalton Strittmatter of Denison, Tx, Brittany Simmons of Granbury, Tx, and Payton Garland of Sherman, Tx. 16 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, in law's and out law's. Bennie served 4 years in the United States Army from 1956 to 1960. He retired from the Sherman Post Office after 43 years of service. Eulogy will be given by Jared Pruitt. Pallbearers are: Jason Pruitt, Jose Ramos, Mark Garland, Jared Pruitt, Clinton Pruitt, and Mark Garland Jr. Family visitation will be Wednesday Sept 20th, 2017 from 6-8 at Dannel Funeral Home. Funeral will be Thursday Sept. 21st, 2017 at 10:00am at Dannel Funeral Home, then on to West Hill Cemetery.
