Bernice Bender age 82 of Sherman Texas passed away at her daughter"¢s residence in TN on Dec. 30 2012. Graveside services will be held at Cedarlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Sherman on Saturday January 5th 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Steve Bender officiating. The family will receive visitors at Dannel Funeral Home on Friday January 4th 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Bernice was born in Rock Crossing Texas to Roy F. Peden and Lura G. Watson Peden February 9 1930. She graduated from Comanche High School in 1948. She and Johnnie E. Bender were married in Henrietta Texas August 28 1952. Out of this union they were blessed with three sons and one daughter. Bernice was a homemaker and took care of her children for most of her life. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Sherman. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Johnnie. Surviving are her daughter Virginia Bender Morris and her sons Rev Steve Bender (wife Jenell) Don Bender (wife Lisa) Robby G.
