Obituary For Betty Gene Armstrong

Betty Armstrong age 68, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt of Rowlett Texas passed away on October 15, 2019, at Tradition’s Memory care in Sherman, Texas. A Celebration of life will be held at Dannel Funeral Home at 302 S. Walnut, Sherman, Texas 75090 at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 19, 2019 with a reception to follow.

She was born on August 13, 1951 in Dallas, Texas. She was married to the love of her life, David Lawrence Armstrong on October 22, 1965. They were married for 52 wonderful years. Betty was a stay at home mom for many years and then pursued a career in customer service for Signature Home Furniture. She had a passion for her grandchildren and family and her beloved dog Mia. She also enjoyed gardening and photography. She was compassionate and kind to everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her husband David Armstrong, mother Mary Wooten, and sister’s Mimi Medors, and Evelyn Stembridge.

She is survived by her daughter Donna Watterson and husband Lonnie of Rowlett, Texas, and her son David Armstrong and wife Kirsten Kahl of Dallas, Texas, Grandchildren, Taylor Trammell of Wylie, Texas, Nyle Watterson of Dallas, Texas and Madison Watterson of Rowlett, Texas. Sister, Pam Schorr and husband Ron or North Richland Hills, Texas, Brother’s, Issac Geeslin and wife Grace of California,

Billy Geeslin, and Sherman Geeslin. Sister in law Loretta Silvas and husband David of Wylie, Texas. Nieces, Christine Cunningham and husband Gary, Alex Cunningham, Kayla King and husband Charles and Gabi Cunningham. Elizabeth Snarr, Kaitlyn Snarr, Jenna Snarr, Izzy Snarr and Joshua Escamilla. Brian Stout, and Bruce Geeslin, and Stephen Wilmouth, along with many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Tradition’s Memory Care. The unconditional love that the staff showed to Betty was unbelievable. They treated her just like family. The comfort of knowing that she was loved and taken care in such a manner was such a blessing to our family.
