Services for Betty Lou Whitworth 82 of Sherman Texas will be held Tuesday July 26 2011 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Wapanucka Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery also in Wapanucka under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home. Bro. Claude Buie will officiate the service. The family will receive friends on Monday July 25 2011 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Dannel Funeral Home. Betty was born December 30 1928 to Eddie Joseph and Tommie (Winkler) Council in Tishomingo Oklahoma. She was raised in Bromide Oklahoma and also attended school in Bromide where she loved to play basketball and swim. On July 9 1948 she married John Plas Whitworth. Throughout her life she enjoyed crocheting quilting and sewing. She was an excellent cook and she loved to be outdoors enjoying flowers. Mrs. Whitworth was raised in the Baptist church and eventually attended Wapanucka Full Gospel. She loved kids her friends and especially her family. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Plas parents a brother E.J. Council Jr. and a sister Katherine Morgan. She is survived by five daughters: Chiquita Wallace of San Antonio Texas LaVonne Morgan and husband Alton of Lone Grove Oklahoma Johnnie Rejcek and husband Danny of McKinney Texas Carol Keel and husband Jefferson of Ada Oklahoma and Angela Skinner and husband Bruce of Sherman Texas. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Whitworth""s grandsons, Brad Wallace Chad Wallace Randal Bush Brian Bush Thomas Keel and Jeff Keel. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters, Kristen Schexnayder Kylee Toney and Siera Rejcek.
