Billie Sims Stowe 88 of Pottsboro passed away on Friday June 10 2011 at Homestead of Denison. Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday June 13 2011 at 5:00 p.m. at Dannel Funeral Chapel with Brother Dewayne Ray of Leonard Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ officiating. The family will be at the funeral home on Monday at 4:00 p.m., and following the services there will be a fellowship at Trinity Baptist Church in Sherman. Mrs. Stowe was born in Sherman on July 12 1922 to John M. and Daisy Mae (Phares) Sims. She was a drum major in the Sherman High School Band before graduating. On July 14 1940 she married Jack Arthur Stowe in Durant OK. After moving to Dallas she became a key person for the Federal Reserve Bank. Billie was preceded in death by her parents her husband Jack three brothers: John Phares Sims Robert Melton Sims and Lionel Sims and two sisters: Patsy Jean Smith and Glenna Collet Hannan. She is survived by five sisters: Ann Frances Belanger of Ft. Worth Maudellen Maimone and husband Frank of Dallas Joy Don Brown and husband John of Oklahoma City Lyndall Tuthill of Middletown NY and Sammy Kaye Decker and husband Clarence of Mesquite, five brothers: Frank Alvin Sims and wife Ethel of Plano Jerry Lynn Sims and wife Dale of Farmers Branch Charles "Chuck" Dudley Sims and wife Lois of Whitewright Jimmy Lee Sims and wife Billie Jean of Mesquite and Sidney Sherman Sims and wife Dottie of Addison TX.
