Obituary For Billy Webb Whitlock

Billy (Bill) Whitlock, 76, of Savoy, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2020, at Wilson N. Jones Memorial Hospital in Sherman. He was born in Honey Grove, Texas on September 15, 1943 to Leonard and Mary Louise Whitlock. He was raised in Honey Grove schools and graduated from Honey Grove High School. Bill married the love of his life Neva on April 17, 1970. He spent over 40 years working for the railroad and was a Christian and served in several Baptist churches throughout his life.

Bill proudly served in the Vietnam War as a United State Marine.

He is survived by his children: Clint Whitlock and wife Allison of Frisco, TX and Carly Sall and husband Chris of Frisco, TX; Grandchildren: Elle, Summer and Will Whitlock, Calvin and Casey Sall; Brother: John Mitchell Whitlock.

    Billy Webb andI we're friends in high school. I went to work and attended college at ETSU while he joined the USMarine Core. When he returned home from Viet Nam, I could see a more mature grown up man.. I so very regret that I did not get to know him as an older adult. I was actually looking for him for a class reunion when James Dawson told me he saw his grave stone in Allens Point Cemetery. He was a very very good person and I am sure it showed in his life.
