Obituary For Bob Wagner

Funeral services for Bob J. Wagner, 90, a lifelong resident of Sherman, who passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Stonebrook Assisted Living in Denison, will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 11:30 AM at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman. Rev. Dr. Cherie Fry, Heart to Heart Hospice Chaplain will officiate. Dannel Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. Bob was born in Sherman, Texas on December 7, 1926 to Carl Erwin and Jewell Murray Wagner. He graduated from Sherman High School in 1944 and was in the United States Army during World War II. After the war he attended Austin College. Bob had the opportunity to join his dad, C.E. (Carl) Wagner, in the Electric Supply Company Business in Downtown Sherman. C.E. (Carl) and Bob took great pride in their business, but truly relished the friends they made during the time they spent in their business. They were the biggest electrical business company between Dallas to Oklahoma City. Bob ran the Electric Supply Company for many, many years, and decided to sell out and work for Calhoun Distributing until his retirement. Bob's passion was spending time on Lake Texoma at the Wagner Farm with friends. He loved to hunt, fish, and play tennis. Bob is survived by his daughter, Kim Wagner Kerr of Sherman; one granddaughter, who was the light of his life, Molly Kerr of Tyler; one brother, Michael Carl Wagner and wife Sara Price Wagner of Dallas; nephews Price and wife Kelsie Wagner; Lee and wife Kelli Wagner of Dallas, Texas; great-nieces Annie and Allison Wagner, and great-nephews Gil and Lee Wagner of Dallas, Texas. The family will receive friends after the service at the home of Dixie and Bill Edwards. Memorials may be made in Bob's name to the Sherman Ex-Students Association, P.O. Box 1351, Sherman, TX 75091-1351.
