Obituary For Bobbie Gohlke

Bobbie Marie Booher Gohlke 64 of Sherman passed away Thursday September 27 2012. Services will be held at First United Methodist Church in Sherman on Monday October 1 2012 at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Tom Medley of United Methodist Church of Wichita Falls officiating assisted by Rev. Chris Yost of Grace United Methodist Church of Frisco TX. Interment will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Sherman TX . Pallbearers will be Rex Booher Chris Delashaw Jacob Delashaw Ben Bradley Jimmy Curtis Justin Anderson and Stacey Gibson. Visitation will be held at Dannel Funeral Home on Sunday September 30 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Bobbie was born on April 28 1948 in Whitewright Texas to Robert Ernest Booher and Hazel Marie Neal. She graduated from Sherman High School and earned her Master"¢s Degree from Austin College. She was a dedicated Spanish educator and provided a cultural language experience for Sherman High School students for three decades. She helped serve the Spanish speaking community by translating for those in need through hospice the hospital and court system. She was very dedicated to her husband"¢s choir as well and chaperoned many field trips from NYC to Campeche Mexico. She was a member of First United Methodist Church Howe where she taught hand bell choir. She also taught music to the children""¢s choir during VBS. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Hazel Booher and husband Duane Gohlke. Surviving family members are son Josh Gohlke and wife Candace daughter Jennie Bailey and husband Matthew brother Rex Booher and wife Glenda sisters, Betty Plocharczyk and husband Bruno and Bonnie Delashaw and husband Chris and grandchildren Aiden Gohlke Grayson Gohlke Chloe Gohlke Elizabeth Bailey Brooke Bailey Christian Bailey and Nathan Bailey.
