Obituary For Bobbie Pell Carroll

Bobbie Pell Carroll, 86, of Sherman passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 10:00 AM at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman. Pastor Frank Drenner of Grace United Methodist Church in Sherman will officiate.

Bobbie (Meme) was born on February 8, 1935 in Maysville, Oklahoma to Morelan Dee and Sylbia Bell Duvall Pell. She graduated from McKinney High School in 1953 and married her high school sweetheart, Jack L. Carroll, on January 2, 1954. While her husband Jack was serving in Korea, she worked for Mobil Oil as a key punch operator. They moved to Sherman after Jack came home from the Korean Conflict where they raised their two children.

Bobbie was a member of the Gardening Club, Craft Club, and Antique Club in Sherman, Texas. She was a very generous person with a servant’s heart who worked to feed the hungry and had a passion to help those in need. She loved music, rock and roll and going to loud concerts. She will be dearly missed.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her parents, sister Bonita Sylvia Pell Atkins and brother-in-law Hollis (Buddy) Harold Atkins. She is survived by her son, Gregory L. Carroll and partner Beverly Pugh of Sherman, daughter, Angie Carroll Frost and husband Robert of Sherman; three grandchildren: Kandice (Frost) Perez and husband Steven, David Frost, and Ashley Frost; two great grandchildren: Jack and John Perez; niece, Vickie Atkins Harris and husband Michael and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Grant Craig for all the love and care given to Bobbie as well as her Hospice Plus caregivers: Becky, Katie, Danielle, Alexa, Cecilia, and Candace. The family would also like to thank Kelly Reid, Meme’s private caregiver for going above and beyond in every way. You may sign the online guestbook at www.Dannelfuneralhome.com.

Such a grand lady and a great neighbor for many years. Dave and I were blessed to know this family and they were always so wonderful to us. Much love to the family. Such a sad day for all.
