Obituary For Brenda Sue McCaghren

Brenda Sue McCaghren, 72, of Leachville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026, in Van Alstyne, Texas, surrounded by love.

Funeral services will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma, Tennessee, where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved daughter, Amy McCaghren—a beautiful reunion her heart had longed for and one we trust was part of God’s perfect plan.

Brenda was born on May 20, 1953, in El Reno, Oklahoma, to Martha S. Parham and Clifton L. Parham. She grew up in Leachville, Arkansas, where she attended Leachville High School. Brenda built a career in real estate, but her greatest role in life was loving her family well. She had a kind and welcoming spirit and a heart that reflected her faith—always trusting in God, even through life’s hardest moments.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy McCaghren; her parents, Bill and Martha Adams, and Clifton Parham; her sisters, Patty Barrett and Janie Rogers; and her brothers, David Adams and Terry Adams.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Karie Wendt and husband, Brock Wendt; her son, Jason McCaghren and wife, Judy McCaghren; her sisters, Diana Tucker, Sherry Adams, and Cindy Carle; and her grandchildren, Connor and Carter Amaro, and Saylor Wendt, who brought her endless pride and joy.

In the days leading up to her passing, God gave the family a gift of time—moments they will cherish forever. She was able to see her grandsons, Connor and Carter, graduate, a milestone that meant so much to her and a memory her family will hold onto always. Though their hearts are broken, they find peace in knowing she is now healed, whole, and resting in the arms of her Savior, reunited with those she loved.

The family of Brenda wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Meadowbrook Care Center in Van Alstyne and the ICU team at Baylor Scott & White McKinney. A special thank you to Dr. Asjad Khan and Kaitlin, RN—your compassion and kindness will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or to Homes For Our Troops in her honor.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:23

You will forever be in our hearts, Momma. Your love and faith will carry us until we meet again.
