Obituary For Buddy Ray Samis

Buddy Ray Samis, 70, passed away February 15, 2021.

Buddy was born January 13, 1951 in Clebit, Oklahoma to Mary Wilson-Samis and Henry Frank Samis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Henry, five sisters (Kathleen Samis, Bobbie Samis, Linda Deleon, Dorothy Morris and Betty Southerland), two brothers (Edward Samis and Roy Samis) one nephew (Monte Morris Jr.) one niece (Rebecca Morris Tolley).

Buddy lived in Sherman, Texas most of his adult life. Buddy met Marie, they married, and made their home in Sherman. He worked 40+ years for Lattimore Materials in the service department, until he retired. Buddy and Marie were members of Grace Indian Baptist Church in Achille, Oklahoma.

Buddy liked watching movies and football. He played football at Muleshoe High School in Muleshoe, Texas. He would still travel to Muleshoe to home games and some away games if they were close to Sherman. Buddy and Marie liked camping, fishing, and road trips. You never knew where they would end up, they would always bring souvenirs from where they had been. His positive, caring, fun free spirit will be missed.

Buddy is survived by his wife Joyce “Marie" Samis, sisters: Paletta Samis, Raynell Samis-Serna and Rose Samis, Brother: Dewey Samis. Also many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends. He will truly be missed by all.
