Obituary For Camille Leslie

Camille Leslie age 90 passed away October 3 2013 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison TX. She was born December 17 1922 to Homer & Mae Wooten in Sherman TX. Camille attended grade schools and high school in Sherman and married Roy R. Leslie Jr. on August 15 1942. They owned and operated Leslie"s Grocery at the corner of Maxey and Odneal Streets from 1958 to 1965. Camille also worked for Whopper Stopper Bait Co. located near Southmayd TX. She was a member of Faith Church (formerly First Pentecostal Church) for more than 40 years. She is survived by her children: Reid Leslie and wife Rhea of Celina TX, Danny Leslie of Sherman TX, Cheryl Cooper and husband Glenn of Sherman TX. Her grandchildren are Renee Buckhoff and husband Patrick of Spring TX, Ryan Leslie and wife Amy of Crawfordsville IN, Dustin Riley and wife Charity of Sherman TX, Andrea Bond and husband Bo of Sherman TX. Her great-grandchildren are Walker Leslie Mikara Leslie Patrick N. Buckhoff Rachel Buckhoff Noah Riley Brynn Riley Caris Riley Camden Riley Ella Bond and Max Bond. Her surviving sisters are Ruth Viken of League City TX. and Vernell Jones of Pasadena TX. Camille was preceded in death by: her parents Homer and Mae Wooten, husband Roy R. Leslie Jr. grandson Reid Leslie IV, sister Thelma Edwards. The Leslie family sends special thanks to Donna Buttrill and her staff at Nanaw"s Place in Denison TX for the personal and professional care provided Camille over the past three and one-half years. The family will receive friends and relatives during a visitation from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday October 6 2013 at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman TX. Rev. Charles Glass will officiate the funeral service in Dannel Funeral Home Chapel on Monday October 7 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Sherman TX.
