Obituary For Carolyn Jean Patrick

Carolyn Jean Armstrong Patrick was the baby of a family of 9 kids and the last one surviving until July 12, 2024, when she went home to be with the Lord and family members. Carolyn will be missed by so many that she was loved by…Carolyn Jean Armstrong Patrick was born on January 10, 1947 to Sullivan Edward Armstrong and Mildred Lee Evans Armstrong in Mulberry, Texas. Carolyn attended schools in Gober, Texas. She worked for over 25 years at Sherman Walmart before her retirement. In 1980 she met James Patrick in October, and they were married on December 12th of that same year. James preceded her death in 1992. Carolyn met John Johnson in 1999 and they fell in love and have been together ever since.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 5 brothers; Elbert, Lloyd, Luther, Gerald, and James Armstrong, 3 sisters; Jewel McCracken, Sue Hindsley Byrd, and Elizabeth Ann Hindsley, and 2 nephews, Michael and Mark Armstrong. She is survived by John Johnson and his son, John Johnson II and wife Stephanie, granddaughter Peyton Johnson, grandsons Tate and Trey Johnson, and great granddaughter, Georgia Johnson. Pallbearers will be Eddie Hindsley, Terry Hindsley, Paul Neal, Jesse Neal, Joseph Armstrong, Trey Johnson, and Tate Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Richard McCracken and Joel Armstrong.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 18, at First Assembly of God Church in Whitewright, at 10:00 AM. Pastor Dalton Jaco and Pastor Ricky Ring will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Whitewright.
