Cecelia Doreen Bayer, passed away on January 12, 2023 in Sherman, Texas.

Cecelia was born to Lois and Rose Hagan on August 31, 1946. She went to school at Clyde High School. After graduation on May 19, 1964. She attended Fort Worth Beauty School graduating in December 1964. She received her cosmetology license in January 1965. She attended Cisco Junior College where she enjoyed being on the Wrangler Belles Drill team, and was honored to be the Memorial Dorm Sweetheart. After her years at Cisco, she worked in Fort Worth and Denton. She also attended North Texas State University. She married Joseph Bayer of Muenster, Texas on June 10, 1972. They became parents of Aaron, Hallie, Tawie, Samuel, and Courtney. She became a housewife once Aaron was born and became active as a volunteer with the schools and various committees.

Cecelia enjoyed being present in every activity of her children’s life. She was room mom each year along with being active with the PTA. She volunteered as chaperone for school choir trips, cheerleading, drill team, soccer, and dance. Cecelia took great pride in making memories of her children and also other people’s children too. In fact, as her children grew up she invested in a top notch Cannon camera to capture all those special moments. Cecelia became known as Ms. Kodak to some and the Picture Lady to others. She would hand out hundreds of pictures throughout the years to everyone that she took a picture of with no expectation of something in return.

Cecelia lived her life for her family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, not setting lots of rules, but teaching by a loving example. There was not a shy bone in her body. She made friends easily because of her welcoming and generous attitude to all who came her way. She touched the heart and souls of those who met her making an impact everywhere she went. She was strong in body and spirit, was curious and intelligent, and loved reading, crossword puzzles, coloring books, and the Dallas Cowboys.

Cecelia is preceded in death by her parents Lois Vinson and Rose Philomena (Lindle) Hagan, sister, Theresa Corcoran; and brothers, Edward, James, and Jack Hagan.

One of my favorite memories of Aunt Celia is riding in the family suburban. When Celia would see one of us weren't wearing our seatbelt, she yell "seatbelt check!" and "lightly" slam on the breaks. Anyone not wearing their seatbelt would go flying as she laughed her amazing laugh. I sometimes left my seatbelt off just to get to play the game.

Joe and family, I am sad for your loss. Cecelia was so kind and friendly through the years. I remember her fondly during the years our boys were in Scouts together (Josh). My prayers for your family, Deborah Williams

Hallie, I never met your momma but I can picture her smile and giggles when I hear you talk about her. I know she was an extraordinary woman simply by knowing you and your sisters! There are no words and I'm sorry for your loss never seems adequate. You will be with her again! I know she's smiling down at you girls from Heaven. I bet she and my mom will meet us soon to share stories and giggles about us! I love you so much!

Aunt Cecilia was always so upbeat and cheerful. Her laugh was so open and loud, you always knew where she was at get-together. Visits with her were always a blast.

Aunt Celia had the best laugh in the world. When I was really small I was incredibly shy. Just about every adult terrified me, but not her. Aunt Celia would laugh and the world was alright again. She laughed with her whole heart. You couldn't help but feel joy when she shared her laughter. It was infectious and just warmed your soul. Aunt Celia was joy personified.
