Cecelia was born to Lois and Rose Hagan on August 31, 1946. She went to school at Clyde High School. After graduation on May 19, 1964. She attended Fort Worth Beauty School graduating in December 1964. She received her cosmetology license in January 1965. She attended Cisco Junior College where she enjoyed being on the Wrangler Belles Drill team, and was honored to be the Memorial Dorm Sweetheart. After her years at Cisco, she worked in Fort Worth and Denton. She also attended North Texas State University. She married Joseph Bayer of Muenster, Texas on June 10, 1972. They became parents of Aaron, Hallie, Tawie, Samuel, and Courtney. She became a housewife once Aaron was born and became active as a volunteer with the schools and various committees.
Cecelia enjoyed being present in every activity of her children’s life. She was room mom each year along with being active with the PTA. She volunteered as chaperone for school choir trips, cheerleading, drill team, soccer, and dance. Cecelia took great pride in making memories of her children and also other people’s children too. In fact, as her children grew up she invested in a top notch Cannon camera to capture all those special moments. Cecelia became known as Ms. Kodak to some and the Picture Lady to others. She would hand out hundreds of pictures throughout the years to everyone that she took a picture of with no expectation of something in return.
Cecelia lived her life for her family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, not setting lots of rules, but teaching by a loving example. There was not a shy bone in her body. She made friends easily because of her welcoming and generous attitude to all who came her way. She touched the heart and souls of those who met her making an impact everywhere she went. She was strong in body and spirit, was curious and intelligent, and loved reading, crossword puzzles, coloring books, and the Dallas Cowboys.
Cecelia is preceded in death by her parents Lois Vinson and Rose Philomena (Lindle) Hagan, sister, Theresa Corcoran; and brothers, Edward, James, and Jack Hagan.
