An avid golfer, he always looked forward to playing with Dr. Fletcher and the guys. CB enjoyed his friendships, watching Gunsmoke, working in his yard, and talking to the neighbors. CB was always so proud of his girl Roxanne Lane and the Russell girls.

CB is survived by his loving wife Denise Lee, son Josh Cowley and his wife Arissa, Sister Karen McDaniel, and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Gene Lee of Ballinger Texas.

Family and friends are invited to pay their final respects at a memorial service, which will be held on Friday, June 30th at 1pm at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas.

I was lucky enough to get to know CB when I married his cousin and blood brother, Dick. The four of us quickly bonded and CB and Denise became forever friends know as Cuz and Cuzette. We have so many great memories together. We must have attended every Merle Haggard concert in the area and enjoyed following Jay Boy Adams in Texas and New Mexico. Stayed in some interesting B&B's. Oh the stories CB could tell. Celebrating Thanksgiving and bringing in The New Year together is a long tradition that we will truly miss. Feel so blessed for the time we had. The Infamous CB Lee will never be forgotten. Prayers for God's Grace to surround his family and friends. Teresa

CB's Mother and my Dad were siblings less than two years apart and were very close. My sister three years older than me was born less than a month before Charles Ben. We grew up close. I loved staying with them in the summers and help irrigate on their farm. We had lots of fun. CB and I camped on the banks of the Colorado river which ran through their farm. One year in our early teens we cut our wrists with with a flint stone and made blood brothers. Swore our first sons would be named Taylor Lee or in my case Lee Taylor. I had a son and his name is Lee. CB's bonus son came with a name, Josh. The last 45 years we've lived close together and have spent a lot of great times together. My heart is broken. He will be missed. Prayers for Denise and Josh and all the folks that loved him so much. Dick Taylor

I FIRST MET CB ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO WHEN HE BEGAN TO PLAY GOLF EVERY THURSDAY WITH DR. FLETCHER, MYSELF AND ANYONE ELSE WE COULD GET TO JOIN US. IT WAS OBVIOUS TO ME THAT CB LOVED GOLF. HE BOUGHT NEW CLUBS, HE BOUGHT A NEW BAG AND HE PERSONALLY MODIFIED HIS WEDGES. HE SPECIALLY MARKED ALL OF HIS GOLF BALLS. AND, HE NEVER MISSED A THURSDAY THAT HE WAS ABLE TO PLAY. HOWEVER, AFTER A WHILE I COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WHY HE LIKED THE GAME SO MUCH. CB NEVER HIT A SHOT THAT HE LIKED. HE WOULD HIT A MONSTER DRIVE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FAIRWAY AND THEN TELL US HE SHOULD HAVE HIT IT FARTHER AND SHOW US HOW HE MISSED HITTING THE BALL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CLUB FACE. IT GOT TO BE SO MUCH FUN ANTICIPATING WHAT WOULD BE WRONG WITH THE NEXT SHOT OR PUTT THAT HE WOULD HIT. I AND HIS GOLFING FRIENDS ARE SADDENED BY HIS PASSING. WE WILL ALL MISS HIM.
