Obituary For Charles Ray Crowder
Charles (Charlie) Ray Crowder, 87 years old, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on October 5, 2021. Dannel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Charlie was born May 7, 1934, in Ryan, Oklahoma, the son of Glenn W. and Faye Jennings Crowder. He served two years in the United States Army 8th Cavalry unit in Japan and also served in Korea, where he helped build Camp Page. Charlie then attended Grayson County College, where he studied automobile mechanics. He went on to work at Texas Instruments, and at White and Chevrolet companies. Before he was disabled in the 1980s with heart ailments, Charles was a member of Grayson Bible Baptist Church and sang in the church choir. He married the love of his life, Carol Brown, on November 10, 2007. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Survivors include his sister, Glynn Crowder of Sherman, and brother David Crowder (and wife Patina) of Iraan, Texas, as well as one niece and four nephews and one great nephew. Pastor Dale Buchanan officiated Graveside services at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, Texas Saturday, October 9,2021.
