Obituary For Charles Tawwater
Charles (Chuck) Tawwater moved from this earthly realm to the Glory of the Father on Friday, February 23, 2024, at his home near Thackerville, Ok. He was born in Dallas, Texas, on May 12,1952, and he will be forever known as the best husband, father, Peepaw, and friend ever.
Chuck worked as the general manager of Haring Office Equipment in Sherman for 30 years. He graduated from JJ Pearce High School in Richardson, Texas. He loved reliving his high school football games and loved watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Kansas City Chiefs. He and Sharon were married for 30 years, best friends for 50 years. He became a beloved father to Katie and enjoyed taking her on camping trips, Indian Princess Campouts, watching scary movies, weiner roasts, etc. He was quite the dad to her, and when her son, Witten, was born, Chuck was over the moon with delight. He and Witten developed a special, unbreakable bond, beginning in Witten’s infancy, when Chuck would carry the crying infant on his stomach and comfort him. The family time, weiner roasts, camping trips, travel, only increased and grew happier with the addition of grandson extraordinaire Witten. Oh, how Chuck loved his little family!
Chuck was a believer, an Episcopalian, and we are sure that his beloved mother, Janet Tawwater, was the first to greet him in heaven when he went there quite suddenly on Friday, February 24. He was also predeceased by his father, Charles, and his brother, David. Chuck is survived by his wife, Sharon, his daughter Katie Baker, Eric Kloppers, and his special grandson, Witten Baker. Life won’t be the same without Peepaw, but our loss is God’s gain.
Honorary pallbearers are Witten Baker, Wade Cravey, Bob West, Eric Kloppers, and Pete Kloppers
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Sherman, Texas. Father Lorenzo Galuszka of St. Stephen’s will officiate. A brief reception will follow the service in the fellowship hall. A private family interment will be held on a later date at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville, Texas.
