Obituary For Charlotte Ann Duphorne

Graveside services for Charlotte Ann Duphorne will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Holloway Cemetery in Luella, Texas. Pastor Dwight Thomas of God’s House of Faith and Worship in Denison, Texas will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Dalton Duphorne, Michael Daniel Duphorne, Avory Johnson, Gary Griffitt, Kenny Wakefield, Glenn Johnson, and Michael Armstrong Duphorne. The family will greet friends on Friday, January 29, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman.

Charlotte was born on September 3, 1944 in Cleburne, Texas and was the oldest of three children. She attended schools in Cleburne and Grapevine before going to college in Denton at North Texas State University and graduating from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas. She lived most of her life in Grand Prairie, Texas where she worked at Lockheed Martin. She retired after working for Lockheed for over 35 years.

When she attended East Texas State, she met and eventually married the love of her life, Don Duphorne on February 24, 1967. He preceded her in death on February 15, 1995.

She retired to Bonham, Texas and for the last 6 years of her life, her focus was supporting missionaries all over the world spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Roberta Armstrong, and her husband Don. She is survived by her son, Michael Duphorne of Arlington; daughter Donna Duphorne of Bonham; four grandchildren: Brittany, Dalton, Michael, and Melissa; sister Betty Johnson and husband Glenn of Sherman; brother, Clarence Armstrong of Dallas; and a host of friends.
