Obituary For Charlotte Ann Lindsey

A memorial service for Charlotte Ann Lindsey, 74, of Sadler, Texas, who passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021, will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Gordonville, Texas, at 2:00 PM. Pastor Jim Edwards of First Baptist Church in Boyd, Texas will officiate.

Charlotte was born on January 27, 1947 in Grand Prairie, Texas to Buck and Ruthie Self. She was raised in Greenville, Texas and attended Greenville schools. She moved to Dallas as soon as she was able. She met the love of her life, Charles “Buddy” Lindsey, and after dating for a short while they became married on October 23, 1971. Charlotte and Buddy spent most of their adult lives living in Arlington and raising their four children. They moved to Sadler nine years ago and loved the quiet and beauty of the lake.

Charlotte and Buddy were inseparable. They rode all over North America on their motorcycle. Charlotte loved to travel and would spend many of their summers in Colorado with the kids and grandkids. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and had many friends at their church. Charlotte was adventuresome. She was willing to try just about anything including white water rafting, four wheeling or even flying in an airplane on the spur of the moment. She and Buddy were happiest when they were together, even to the end. She will be greatly missed by her husband, her children and grandchildren, her sibilings, and all who had shared life with her.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters: Barbara Callahan and Patsy Quillin, and a brother Rickey Self. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Buddy Lindsey; 4 children: Jesse Ellison and wife Denise, Corrina Goldsmith, Clint Lindsey and wife Kim, and Tracey Lindsey; 12 grandchildren: Amber Bailey, Brittany Richardson, James Ellison, Brandy Russell, Kaylee Russell, Shae Jones, Jonathon Goldsmith, Allison Goldsmith, Danielle Ellison, Victoria Ellison, Jessi Wray, and Sarah Ellison; 6 great-grandchildren: Abbey Bailey, Ruthie Bailey, Hank Bailey, Mason Williams, Major Dupree, and Maci Dupree; brother: Michael Self; 2 sisters: Nancy Halbert and husband Jimmy, and Becky Raper and husband Colin; and many nieces and nephews.
