Obituary For Christine McHam

Vida Christine McHam, 87, of Sherman, Texas, passed away on December 20, 2020 at her residence. Funeral services wil be held at 1:00 PM at Dannel Funeral Home on Monday, December 28, 2020. Chaplain David Taylor and Chaplain Chuck Dodd will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at the funeral home.

Christine McHam was born in Caviness, Texas to Raymond and Eddie Arterburn on January 28, 1933. She went to school at Whitesboro, where she graduated at 16 years of age in 1949. She worked at various jobs at an early age. On April 6, 1965, she married J.H. McHam in Durant. She enjoyed working on their farm, especially taking care of the animals, and was also very involved with her church.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brothers, Marion Arterburn and Adrian Arterbaun. She is survived by stepson Mike McHam and stepdaughter Paula Marin; also mieces, Sharon Achimon (and husband Donnie), and Kelly Biggs; nephews Todd Arterburn (wife Quiara), and Brett Arterburn, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews. She also had many special friends she held as close as family.

The family of Christine McHam wishes to extend our sincere thanks to her very special caregivers, and we would also like to thank Francis Neely for her many years of companionship.
