Obituaries

Darrell L. Worlein passed away May 17, 2022 at Texoma Medical Center in Sherman, Texas from a lingering illness. Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas will be handling the cremation. A private family graveside and burial service will be handled by Lemke South Funeral Home at a later date in Clinton Memorial Cemetery, Clinton, Iowa.

Darrel was born to the parents of Alice (Betts) and joseph William Worlein on August 3, 1939 in Clinton, Iowa.

Darrel attended Clinton, Iowa schools, graduated from CHS in 1958. He then went to live in the Sherman/Denison Texas area where he worked till retirement as an electrician and small engine repair mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Audrey Kay Williams; an infant brother, James; and great niece, Vivian Worlein.

He is survived by his brother Warren J.(Barbara) Worlein; a brother in law, Johnny Williams of Caney, OK.; a niece, Janel Worlein of Clinton, IA.; a nephew, James Worlein of Dallas, Texas; two great nieces, a great nephew ; and many cousins. Also a friend; Sam Hanna and family, who was always there to help him in times of need and illness.
