Obituaries

David Andrew Coffman, 71, of Sherman, passed away at his home in Sherman on December 25, 2021. He will be interred at Akers Cemetery at a later date.

David was born in Sherman, Texas on May 26, 1950, to Andrew Benton and Louisa “Peggy” Bird Coffman. He was baptized at Forest Avenue Baptist Church, attended Sherman schools and graduated from Sherman High School in 1968. David loved to play tennis and was on the tennis team for Sherman High. After graduation, he enrolled at Southeastern Oklahoma State University and received his bachelor's degree.

David worked for General Electric and TransAmerica in the Dallas area and returned to Sherman where he worked at Sears before his retirement.

David was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Bob Norrell. He is survived by his sister, Judy Coffman Norrell.
