Obituary For David Lee Cox

David Lee Cox, 72, of Gordonville, TX passed away on 9/8/2021 at his home "The Little House near Lake Texoma".

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 this Sunday 9/12/2021 at Pavilion #1 in Pecan Grove West Park (3200 Canyon Creek Drive Sherman, TX 75092).

Daddy was born in Indiana to Claude and Beulah Cox on July 18th 1949. He went to school at Warren Central High in Indianapolis.

He married Debra Cox on 10/02/1970. The family moved to Shreveport Louisiana in 1984 and to McKinney TX in 1989.

Dave earned his Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technologies. He went to work for AT&T and MCI in the Telecom industry.

David Cox and Debra Cox divorced in 2002 and earned the nickname of "Happiest Divorced Couple EVER"!

Dave is preceded in death by his dad - Claude Cox, his mom - Beulah Cox, his two brothers Claude and John Cox and his son, David Lee Cox II.

Dave is survived by Debra Cox "Happiest Divorced Couple Ever" his sister Richarddebi Wilson (Debi Wilson) and his daughters Crystal Kramer Jamie Cox Pressnell and Katie Cox and his grand-children Christian B Anthony, Trey Cox, Jaime Nicole Hickman, Anndrea Ojijo, Sean Ojijo and Debra Ojijo. He also has an extended family of grandchildren - Jordan, Jemma and Skylar Hickman and Alex Jacob Ruta and Serenity Arianan Vandagriff.

Daddy lived his life through Facebook and made daily post from "The Little House near Lake Texoma". All his family and friends loved his daily posts.

He despised the word "work" and loved his retirement.

He turned every home into a workshop and loved to tinker on anything.

Daddy was a man of Christian faith who loved the Lord and died the way he wanted to in his home that he converted into a "Shop" at "The Little House near Lake Texoma" .
