Obituary For Debbie Kay Lopez

It is with great sadness that the family of Debbie Lopez announces her passing on April 28, 2023 after a long illness. She will be missed and loved by all of her family and friends.

Debbie was born in Sherman, Texas on October 21, 1950. Preceding her in death was her parents Floyd and Marie Ferguson. Surviving is her husband Joe Lopez, children Stacy Bell and Carrie Raborn, grandchildren Cheyanne Thorn, Nicky Daniels, David Morrman, Kandra Raborn, Kevin Raborn, and 15 great grandchildren. Sisters Mary Dollar and husband John of Sherman Texas. Barbara Harvey and husband Billy of Sherman. Brother Herbert Ferguson and wife Joy of Sherman Texas. Nephews Joel Dollar, Mike Dollar and Randy Dollar, Phillip, and Kenny Ferguson. Nieces Lisa Baldwin and Christine Andrews.

Debbie worked at Libbey-Owens Ford in Sherman Texas for 19 years. In the years before her illness, she loved looking for arrowheads, boating, riding four-wheelers and spending time at her sister’s cabin in the mountains of Oklahoma. She loved her dogs Sassy, and Little Bit.

Cremation is at Dannel Funeral Home and services will be at a later date. Rest in peace our beloved sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.

    Q: What was Debbie like as a child? A: Debbie and I spent many, many hours together exploring the pastures, climbing trees, playing Jacks, but most of all, loved to walk to Squirrel Creek to wade and explore! We had lots of great times together! Precious Memories of her!! She will be missed. Love you, Cuz Margaret
