Obituary For Debra Oswalt

Debra Elaine (Boatman) Oswalt, 64, of Howe, Texas went home peacefully on January 16, 2018 after a battle with a short illness. Debra was born on June 6, 1953 in Sherman, Texas to Windell Charles and Minnie Ruth (Patton) Boatman. Debra graduated from Howe High School in 1971. Debra retired in 2017 from TI after 31 years of dedicated service. Debra took pride in her family and loved watching her grandchildren play sports and showing animals in the FFA program, never missing a chance to watch them. She also loved to travel with close friends. Debra is survived by her three children, daughter Wende Perkins and husband Michael, of Whitewright, and sons Windell “Cory” Oswalt and Billy Oswalt, both of Howe; her seven grandchildren, Tori Perkins, Toni Perkins, Tailor Oswalt, Landon Oswalt, Brynen Oswalt, Weldon Oswalt and Loryne Sweeny; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Mickey Boatman and wife Nancy of Howe, and Bobby Boatman and wife Kendra of Van Alstyne; 5 nephews and a niece and a large extended family. Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Windell and Minnie Ruth Boatman. The family will receive visitors Friday, January 19, 2013 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman. A service will be held on January 20, 2018 at 10:00am at Dannel Funeral with a burial to follow at Hall Cemetery in Howe. Pallbearers include nephews Charles “Tony” Boatman, James Boatman and Bobby Boatman and close family friends Nathan Gray, Richard Lankford, and Andreas Liss. The service will be led by Roy Layman of Grace Bible Fellowship of Gunter.

    Prayers for the entire Boatman family. I've known Deb for 30 years and she will be missed. Heaven must have needed an angel because she left earth way too soon.
