Diana, gone way too soon... So much more art to create, more causes to stand up for, more smiles to share, more random acts of kindness to offer, more fun to have with friends, more humility to express, more wit to impart, more love to show your family and much much more hugs and kisses to give your wife, son and grandson. I'm sad that you are gone but so happy to have known you Diana. Love and miss you. Cindy

I was in a Unitarian Universalist creativity group with diana. She was so filled with creative ideas, warmth and authentic sharing. I'm devastated that she's gone! We lost a soul with so much light!

I worked with Diana at the News-Star. I was a reporter, she was a photographer, and we covered many assignments together. We were also friends in Monroe and were in a womens empowerment group together. At one point, we lived just a few blocks away from each other. I remember Diana as kind, talented, fun, smart and authentic. She cared about others and society, and she was a good friend and coworker. We didn't stay in touch after we left Monroe — she left a bit before I did — but I was genuinely thrilled and delighted when she reached out to me through FB a few years ago and was so glad to see how she'd thrived over the years. My condolences to her family and loved ones. I'm sorry she's gone — this world needs more Dianas. May her memory be a blessing.

Diana was a kind, beautiful human, and I will miss her sweet presence. I'm grateful to have enjoyed her friendship for several years in book club and was so honored to be asked to help with preparations on her and Elizabeth's wedding day. It was such a joyous celebration. Rest well, sweet Diana.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of dear Diana. One of my fondest memories of her was walking through Oak Lawn on a beautiful, sunny day as she took my daughter's graduation photos. She had such a keen eye for detail and beauty, and the photos she took that day are cherished by our family. She was a beautiful, kind, charming soul.

I am so incredibly sorry for the loss of such a wonderful person. I had the pleasure of working with her at SBH. Heaven gained a wonderful, bright angel. Rest in peace friend ❤️

Diana was so sweet. I know I have not visited with her in awhile but I will miss her and her humor. May y'all be blessed as you walk this path. I feel I am with you in spirit ❤❤🙏

This is such a heartbreaking loss. Diana was so kind and sweet and so much fun to work with. She loved to tell stories about her wife and family and their various Halloween hijinks. Almost every morning at work, I would ask her, "How's wifey?" and she would beam with joy at the thought of her beloved Elizabeth. I'll always remember her smile and the warmth she showed others.

Working with Diana at UNT was always pleasant. My favorite thing about working with her was that she listened to what we really wanted or needed instead of just jumping in to insert her own ideas.

Diana was a brilliant, creative, kind person. I enjoyed our time working together at UNT. Her grandmother's dog, Buddy, brought my big brother years of companionship, too. Buddy and Nick are now gone into the mystery along with Diana. May love endure beyond this realm.
