Obituary For Dickie McKnight

Services for Dickie Lynn McKnight, 60, of Sherman will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2017 3pm at Dannel Funeral Home. Bro. David Morgan of Cherrymound Baptist Church in Denison will officiate. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Dickie was born in Sherman and raised in Van Alstyne. Dickie loved animals and the outdoors. He even had a pet deer that would ride in his truck with him and a cow that would follow him. He worked at Albertsons and Petit's Food in Whitewright for many years as a butcher. Dickie had a heart as big as Texas and he loved to laugh and joke. He especially loved and took very good care of his family. Dickie had a son, Jamie Kindele who preceded him in death. He will be greatly missed. Dickie is survived by his sister, Misty Olfers, niece; Kortney Olfers: two nephews; Brok and DJ Olfers, and a host of friends. Pallbearers for Dickie will be Andy Pritchett, Mike Tillet, David Nichols, Rex Roe, David Hammer, and Andy Vickery. You may sign the online guestbook at www.dannelfuneralhome.com.
