Don was my oldest brother but the first of us to leave home, high school straight to college and then military. He would write me letters every week on navy stationary and tell me what he'd been up to. Shortly he went to AirForce where he had a impressive career, many medals and accommodations. Always being gone made it hard to be round all family but when he was it was great, they always knew Uncle Don was goin to give them one toy and then some really cool book. Don was very staunch military guy and thru his life had that mentality, always prepared always done in right order and nothing but right way. Over past yrs of sharing a home or two we got closer and he got closer to family in general.Hardheaded and an old gurmudggen he was it he did tell tons of life stories and became softer and showed affection more. Accident in March ,came home April18 and was gone by Fri morning, totally unexpected he was happier, laughing etc then he was gone. Don Rest In Peace , I know you're with Reade again. but I'm sorry I failed when it really mattered. Thank you for everything,! Will miss you forever sand a day.
