Obituary For Don Jordan
Don Jordan of Plano Tx. passed away at his residence on Dec. 11 2011 at the age of 62. Services for Mr. Jordan will be held on Thursday Dec. 15 2011 at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Sherman Texas. Rev. Don Underwood of Christ United Methodist Church of Plano will officiate and Rev. Joe Ed Goolsby of First United Methodist Church of Sherman will assist. Interment will follow at IOOF Cemetery in Farmersville Tx where five generations of Jordans are buried. Visitation will be Wed. Dec. 14 at Dannel Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Pallbearers will be Lyndel Stripling Jim Jarrett Williams May Rusty May Jr. Mike Meche and Zach Gladden. Honorary pallbearer will be Terry Grundt. Don was born to W.T. Jordan and Connie (Beaty) Jordan in Denison Texas. He married Robin Bly on May 1 1987 in Las Vegas NM. Don grew up in Denison TX. He played football for the Denison Yellow Jackets and then went on to play at UT Arlington on a football scholarship. Don finished his studies at the University of North Texas earning his degree in accounting. He later had his own CPA firms in Sherman and Plano. Don attended Christ United Methodist Church in Plano. He loved being a father and grandfather. Don""s hobbies included travelling playing golf and cooking. He loved his dogs and had a great passion for the mountains and outdoors especially at their home in Red River NM. Don was predeceased by his parents as well as a son Jon Jordan who passed away in 2008 and a brother Mike Jordan. He is survived by his wife Robin of 24 years daughter Sara Scholtz and husband John of Frisco daughter Lauren Rowland of Sherman son Ryan Rowland of Sherman son Johnnie Rowland of Plano daughter Amy Garcia and husband Levi of Mansfield daughter-in-law Kristi Jordan of Plano and a brother Steve Jordan and wife Sandy of Sherman. Grandchildren, Will Scholtz Nathan Jordan and Levi Garcia. The family would like to request that donations be made to the American Heart Association in addition to flowers.
