Send Flowers Donald Ray Lane October 25, 1942 - January 26, 2015 Donald Ray Lane, 72, of Muleshoe, TX - and formerly of Sherman, passed away Monday, January 26, 2015, in Battle Creek, MI. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 Saturday morning, January 31st in Dannel Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Murphy officiating. Mr. Lane's family will begin receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors will follow in Cedarlawn Memorial Park immediately after the chapel service. Donald was born October 25, 1942, in Sherman, to Edgar Dayton and Beulah Wolfe Lane. He graduated from Sherman High School and enrolled in the University of Texas the following fall. He later graduated from Grayson County College in 1976. In 1963, he married Patsy Odom. He proudly served his country via several stints in the United States Air Force. After his discharge from military service, Donald continued to work for Boeing Aircraft for over twenty years. On September 12, 1972, he married Aynur Rahman in Turkey. They were married for 25 years and were blessed with two children. Survivors include: daughter, Dr, Kathy Irene Anderson Lane (CJ Merignac)) of Battle Creek, MI; sons, Donald Lane, Jr. (Michelle) of Conroe, TX, James Lane of Cypress, TX and Ozzy Lane of North Carolina,; sisters, Bobbie Ferris of Muleshoe, TX, Christine Olds of Denison, Louise McKinney of Sherman, and Katheline Currah of Tucson, AZ; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
