Obituary For Donald Lee Monical
Donald Lee Monical, 97, of Cimarron, Kansas, passed away on May 18, 2025 in Bells, Texas with his loving wife by his side, holding his hand.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Family of Faith Church with the Pastor Stephen Hearrell of Family of Faith, officiating. Burial will follow at a later date. Arrangements are by Dannel Funeral Home.
Don was born Gray County, Kansas to George W. and Golde B. Monical on February 10, 1928. Don went to school at Cimarron High School. He married Charlotte Joy Monical on August 18, 1951 in Nashua, Iowa at the Little Brown Church in the Vale. Don worked as a manufacturer’s representative for Pankow Associates for 22 years. Retired, and then worked at Palmer Hills Golf Course for 27 years. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the Navy. He was the last of eight children to serve in World War II at the same time. Don’s passions were golf, people, and his wife of 73 years.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, and his ten siblings: Robert Earl Monical married to Viva Ketting, Alice Virginia Curtin (Monical) married to Fred Curtin, Catherine (Cank) Eliza (Monical), Russell Lawrence Monical married to Aline Monical, Margie (Monte) Ruth Kautzky (Monical) married to Frank Kautzky, Ralph Kenneth Monical married to Phylis Monical (Butcher) Billy Eugene Monical married to Kay Monical, Donald Lee Monical (placement in family), Helen Monical, Barbara Lou Norman (Monical) married to Gene Norman, Shirley
Ann Monical).
Don is survived by Charlotte Joy Monical: Michael Albert Monical married to Marcia Monical (Johnson), Randall Lee Monical married to Cheryl Monical (Eicchorst), and Scott Alan Monical married to Karen Monical (Madsen), Brandon Monical married to Katlyn Monical and their children, Brynlee and Kadence, Misty Jones married to Brock Jones and their children Karlee (great, great grandchild Wrenlee), Kelin Jones, Kloee Jones, Kamee Jones, Kacee Jones, Jessica Enos married to Kris Enos and their children Aiden Enos, Norah Enos and Camdon Enos. And Don’s adopted son and the boys adopted brother John Waddell.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers, that any gift to be to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and Family of Faith Church.
