Dorothy Jo (Donihoo) Miller, 86, of Sherman, passed away early Monday morning, December 19, 2014, at her home, surrounded by her family. Her family will receive friends at Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman on Sunday, December 21st, between 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 Monday morning, December 22nd, in Akers Cemetery. Rev. Josh Burton, of First Baptist Church in Pottsboro, will officiate. Dorothy was born March 23, 1928, in Memphis, TX, to Cleance and Rosie Lane Cook. She was married to Lawrence L. Miller on February 26, 1994 in McKinney, TX. He preceded her in death in 2001. She attended First Baptist Church in Pottsboro and was a huge fan of gospel music. Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Mrs. Miller is survived by her children: Ronnie Donihoo (Janie) of McKinney, Carroll Burrell (Sarah) of Saginaw, David Burrell of Illinois, Christa Rhealynn Donihoo & fiance' Michael Owens of Sherman, Carolin Stambaugh of Sherman, Sandra Hantley of Balch Springs and Barbara Burrell of Dallas; brother, Billy Cook; very dear cousin, Pearl Sanders of Pottsboro; 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; and special caregiver Leenora. In lieu of flowers, the family would be especially honored by memorial donations to Guardian Hospice at 614 N .Travis St., Sherman (75090), or Advantix Home Care, Inc. at 704 S. Sam Rayburn Fwy., Sherman (75090).
