Obituary For Douglas Laroy Winborne

Doug Winborne, 64 of Sherman, Texas went to be with our Lord March 13, 2025, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas of an unexpected illness. Doug was born on May 13, 1960, in Pampa, Texas to Bobby and Bena Winborne. He started school in Pampa, Texas and moved to the Sadler area while still in grade school. Doug graduated from S and S CISD in 1980 and went on to earn his Journeyman Electrician License and has worked for over 40 years in the commercial electrical field in Dallas, Texas and surrounding areas. Doug has been married to his wife, Julie Lynn Smith, for almost 44 years. Doug loved his family with his whole heart and his life was all about his children and grandchildren. He was the best Daddy and Papa any family could ask for. The meaning of love for Doug was family.

Doug is preceded in death by both his parents, Bobby and Bena Winborne and twin brothers, Bobby Dale Winborne and Billie Don Winborne. Doug is survived by his wife Julie, daughters Katrina Womble (with Jamie Womble) and Jennifer Winborne, son Joseph “Joe” Winborne (with Dani Lunde), sister Bobbie Star Farley, brother Charles “Chuck” Winborne (with Kelley Winborne), sister Kim Rigdon (with James Rigdon) and sister-in- law Rose Winborne. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren- Joseph “Blake” Wright, Adam Larson, Arisela “Sela” Winborne, Marcus A. Immel, Nevaeh “Bug” Lawrence, Marley J. Lunde, Joshua “Aden” Lawrence, Jordan C. The family of Doug wishes to extend sincere appreciation to all friends and family, especially Joe and Melissa Farmer and Tim and Cindy Auld. The medical personnel at Texoma Medical Center were a blessing and support in this time of loss. I would like to give a special shout out to Chalyn Conary RN, a special nurse on the Oncology floor, Heart to Heart Hospice and Dr. Moidzuddin (Pulmonology) for the loving and compassionate care we received while there.
